FIRE is a powerful tool that brings life or a destructive weapon that destroys everything in its path. It has many uses and purposes, but in God’s word, it frequently represents the powerful presence of the Lord. We often think of FIRE as destructive or painful, but when we become Christians, we see the FIRE of the Holy Spirit as life-giving and helpful.

Spend time with fellow parishioners to reflect on our roles as Christian men of faith. You’ll find FIRE, driven by the Holy Spirit, in this weekend – designed by the men of Sacred Heart to ignite our faith community by sharing in the things men like to do – hanging out for a weekend with other guys just like you. 

The agenda begins late Friday afternoon (between 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.) at Il Ritiro Retreat Center in Dittmer, MO, about 45 minutes southwest of St. Louis (ilritiro.org). It includes outdoor activities, bonfires, BBQ, and a hands-on service project using our collective talents. 

Break away from the day-to-day by signing up for this enriching and inspirational weekend. We’ll have a ton of fun while taking a closer look at the sacraments that propel our faith. We’ll cap off the weekend with Sunday morning Mass – the source and summit of our faith.
